When the Sky Weeps
the comfort nature brings <3
Little drops of dew raced down my window Watching the rain pour, It’s just me, a book, and a cup of tea A tear rolled down my cheek, not in glee, but in sorrow I sipped my jasmine tea, just quiet and empty, Beneath a sky that mourns in silence. Sometimes I wonder, does anyone else sit in melancholy as the sky weeps? Does anyone feel that connection, an intimacy with nature’s grief? Perhaps it’s not only when skies are grey, but when flowers bloom and hearts find relief A seed is planted within our chest, That gently sweeps away our grief. A pleasant scent clung to the earth after rain All at once time slowed, my muscles eased and my eyes closed The sweet caress of twilight, a nightingale’s distant song It sings where broken hearts quietly belong. The sky can’t carry all our sorrowed cries It may lift our spirits, calm our sighs But only God brings true, eternal rest Lord, I come to You now, weary and burdened, My soul longs for Your comfort and rest. Buy me a coffee!

Lovely poem! I thought it was unique how the rain was seen as "weeping" Reading this made me think of the verse where it says sorrow may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. May the Lord Jesus help us to endure those hard times so we can keep moving forward!
Gorgeous!!
